Don't you just love freebies? I know I do.
I've been in two situations recently as a customer, when I was given an unexpected freebie. Immediately after ordering my usual bagel and coffee at the Bagel Bar, the girl behind the cashier offered me a bottle of mineral water for free. I was about to order a glass of water anyway, so this came as a welcome surprise.
Several days later, I went buying a steak at the meat counter in my local supermarket. I was chatting with the guy at the cashier about the fact that there didn't seem to be a lot of meat for so much money.
He obviously took pity on my unhappy face when he said - "Tell you what sir, why don't you have this other steak for the same price" and he put another one on top!
So what do we learn here? The lesson is that most of the customers love a freebie and if they get one from a supplier it builds a positive relationship. When people purchase stuff at your online business, on the delivery page, give them some freebies and they will love you for that.
As customers, we're more likely to come again and do business with people who give us freebies and we're more willing to tell other people about our positive experience. It's good strategy to give your customers freebies on occasions but don't over do it. If you blast your email database with gifts on daily basis you are going to miss the target and your internet marketing business is going to suffer for it..
One day I read a story article about a restaurant owner who would occasionally give people a free meal. When a group of diners or a family called for the bill he would suddenly announce that for this meal, they were his guests and they have to pay nothing for their meal.
Can you imagine how these people felt - what they said to friends and work colleagues the next day? The free meal most likely cost the restaurant owner a lot less than advertising in the city newspaper and it also brought in a lot more new customers.

Why don't you think of some little freebies you can give to your customers that'll encourage them to come again and also tell others about their positive experience. And while we're doing it - why not try the same thing with members of your employees. Even your private relationships - a small unexpected gift or an act of kindness can do miracles for any relationship.
Believe me, once you start practicing this, you'll have many more satisfied customers, happy staff and appreciative friends and relatives. It will definitely help your internet marketing business stay strong and grow.
